Do you feel numb? Did you forget how to feel emotions? If so, then check this video.

I felt nothing. I felt no joy and I felt no sadness. Something was wrong with me. Why didn't I feel sad? Why didn't I feel anything? In this video, I would share with you why I suppressed my emotions and how I starting releasing my suppressed emotions.

There is no short-cut out of depression. There is no one single way to start feeling again. However, there are different things that can help you to start expressing your feelings and enjoying life again.

There are a few things that I did:

1. Meditation - that helped me to calm down, to become more aware of my body and my emotions

2. Crying - once I could connect with the negative emotions that I had suppressed inside I could start crying and that was an amazing relief for me. For a boy, who grew in East Europe, crying is a no-go. But it did miracles for me. (and still does)

3. Exercising - in the moments when I was down, I was feeling low on energy. It is a bit counter-intuitive but to come out of depression I started going to the gym (although I didn't feel like it) and that really helped me to feel better in the short term. Nowadays I exercise 6--7 times a week.
