The FASTER Project hosted EV Talk Live at the Nevis Centre in Fort William on Saturday 26th August. In this new series of films you can catch up on the discussion panel sessions which took place on the day chaired by Dr Euan Mc Turk (Plug Life Consulting), Kate Tyrrell (ChargeSafe) and Gary McRae (Urban Foresight).

In this panel session, Euan is joined by guests Bob Murphy (ScottishPower), Mike Gill (WattsUp) and Shayne Rees (Char.gy) as they explore the different types of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and analyse the requirements for the future development of the industry in the UK.

The FASTER Project is a joint initiative by partners in Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland to support the overarching ambition to transition to low carbon transport systems. The project partnership will implement the physical roll out and installation of 73 rapid (50KW capacity) electric vehicle charging stations in the programme area before May 2023. The FASTER Project aims to ensure that the availability of public charging stations is not a major obstacle to Electric Vehicle (EV) market penetration. The FASTER project has been awarded €6,407,513.23 from the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
