In the latest episode of EV Talk: The Review, motoring journalist Caroline Kidd puts Nissan's follow-up to its pioneering and record-setting Leaf to the test. The Ariya is a sleek, stylish coupé crossover, with 63 kWh and 87 kWh battery variants available offering up to 329 miles or 529km of emissions free motoring.

The Ariya is longer, wider and taller than its sibling, the Nissan Qashqai and the interior is minimalist by upmarket with plenty of soft touches in the cabin.

Joining Caroline for this episode is broadcaster and first time EV driver, Caoimhe Ni Chathail. Caoimhe is a well known sustainability advocate, but can the Nissan Ariya convince her to take the plunge with an electric vehicle?

The FASTER Project is a joint initiative by partners in Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland to support the overarching ambition to transition to low carbon transport systems. The project partnership will implement the physical roll out and installation of 73 rapid (50KW capacity) electric vehicle charging stations in the programme area before 31st December 2023. The FASTER Project aims to ensure that the availability of public charging stations is not a major obstacle to Electric Vehicle (EV) market penetration. The FASTER project has been awarded €6,407,513.23 from the European Union’s INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
