Here are snippets of the road going up to Heart Bar Campground from CA-38.

You can "drive" the whole way on Google Street view, but this is easier. I'm driving for you!

This is essentially a 7000 ft climb from valley floor to the campground. The road is so maintained and wide enough for a relatively easy tow. There are some sharp corners and steep sections but that's expected when going up a 2 lane mountain road.

As you get higher in elevation, the scenery becomes much more attractive and soon you'll be surrounded by trees. Hopefully not blackened ones as the area is prone to wild fires.
