Iowa State record-setting defensive end JaQuan Bailey won’t return for what would be a super senior season.
“After much thought, prayers and conversations with my family, I have decided to retire my Cardinal and gold uniform, and enter into the NFL Draft,” Bailey wrote on Twitter Sunday afternoon. “I am excited to step into a new chapter in life, and I could not have done it without #cyclonesnation.”
The redshirt senior missed most of last season with a leg injury, yet finishes his standout career as Iowa State’s career sack leader with 25 sacks.
