German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were involved in a heated argument over the humanitarian situation in the war-torn Gaza Strip, Channel 13 reported. Baerbock objected to images of Gaza shown by the Israeli side during her meeting with Netanyahu in Jerusalem on April 17. Baerbock asserted that Israel was “driving Gaza towards famine.” In response, Netanyahu told the German official, “Come and see the pictures of the markets in Gaza, the beaches in Gaza; there’s no famine there.”
