In this video, I'll introduce you to the brand-new checkboxes in Excel. They're simple and much better than the old ways we used to do things. I'll take you through different ways to use these checkboxes, not just for keeping track of your to-do list. In fact, we'll be creating an interactive Excel dashboard using with the checkboxes.

But first, I'll guide you step by step on how to use these checkboxes in Excel. You'll learn how to keep track of your tasks - then you'll learn how count the total number of checkboxes and also how to count the number of checked checkboxes and add it at the top of our Excel sheet. You'll then learn how to combine these checkboxes with formulas for smarter data analysis - I show the combination with the FILTER function in this example - Then you'll learn how to combine the state of the checkbox with conditional formatting, so that you can change the color and formatting of the entire row when an item is checked. Finally, you'll learn how to add a timestamp to a cell when a checkbox is checked. This is great for task and project management.

This video is perfect for beginners and for those who want to discover new features in Excel and also learn some dashboard tricks. I've made sure everything is easy to understand, with no complicated terms – just simple, clear steps that you can follow along.
