This is a Motormouth couple car review of the new, updated 2023 Hyundai Palisade mid-size 3-row SUV. What’s new for 2023? The Hyundai Palisade gets a refresh to its exterior, interior, new infotainment, safety features and advanced driver assistance systems. To the exterior, the new Hyundai Palisade gets a new front and rear bumper fascia, a bolder and wider grille, new headlamps and daytime running lights, auto-dimming outside mirrors and 20” multi-spoke alloy wheels.The elegant and sophisticated interior design of the new Hyundai Palisade is still present with standard 8-passenger seating for your family adventures. There is the addition of a new instrument panel, audio interface design, available 12.3” digital driver display, digital rearview mirror, a new 12” touchscreen with navigation, enhanced USB-C ports which replace USB-A ports for quicker charging and wireless charging has been upgraded from 5 watts to 15 watts. New seating materials, more comfortable seats for those long trips and heated 3rd row seats have been added. The one touch second row seat allows for easy operation to move the seat forward for easy access into and out of the third row. The third row offers power folding, unfolding and reclining seats. The top Calligraphy model has the addition of acoustic-laminated rear door glass. There is a new Urban trim for the Hyundai Palisade Canada and XRT in the US, it is more of a rugged look with dark accents, a dark front grille finish, black roof rails, rugged themed 20” alloy wheels, a power sunroof and black leatherette upholstery. What hasn’t changed is the powertrain, the Hyundai Palisade still has a 3.8L V6 engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Standard AWD in Canada. FWD and AWD options are available in the US. The Hyundai Palisade gets 12.6L/100 km, 19 MPG city and 9.5L/100 km, 25 MPG highway. To every tank of gas, you’ll get about 666 km/ 414 miles.
