The Honda CR-V has been around since the mid-1990s, and has firmly established itself as a thoroughly competent and sensible family SUV. The role of this all-new model is to move the CR-V more upmarket, as well as to offer more space and equipment than its key rivals. To that end, it's the biggest CR-V to date, having grown in every dimension over its predecessor, plus it features much more assertive styling and an incredibly high standard specification.

In terms of drivetrains, the 2023/2024 CR-V is available as a full hybrid with all-wheel drive, or a front-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid. While the latter is unlikely to be as popular with retail customers, it's ability to cover up to 50 miles on electric power in official tests results in CO2 emissions of just 18g/km, which could make it a good option for company car drivers.
