Hiking Food doesn't have to suck!
FireBox cooking is a fun, ultralight way to prepare delicious hiking or backpacking meals. Hiking meals don't have to be boring or consist of only eating bland dehydrated meals.
Next time you’re out on a solo hiking adventure, plan a little more time around your meal preparation and set aside a few more minutes to have a fun outdoor cooking adventure.
Here's a quick and easy Wild Rice and Creamy Chicken Stew recipe to try out next time you're looking for a little hiking food variety. It's guaranteed to pack on the needed carbs to keep you going on a long day out hiking. Join me as I test out another great fresh food hiking recipe with my new Lixada brand folding camp stove, aka Fire Box.

Wild Rice and Creamy Chicken Stew Recipe:
Chopped medley Potatoes (1 small)
Chopped celery stick, leaves and all (1 ounce)
Carrots (1-2 ounces)
Wild Rice Medley (1/2 cup dry)
Mixed Spices, Bullion, Cajun Seasoning
Packaged White Chicken (2-3 ounce package)
Packaged instant Smokey Cheese and Bacon Mashed Potatoes (1/2 package)

All ingredients are safe to pack in any temperature and will easily last up to 4 days even on the hottest of days. Pro Tip: To keep your veggies fresh for up to 4-5 days, pack them whole and chop them only when you're ready to eat. Keeping stems on your veggies will greatly extent their freshness.
