Each year there are thousands of violent animal attacks and The Ultralight Backpacking community is afraid to talk about it. Animal attacks are a serious concern and as a hiker, I think it's important that we have a fact based discussion about the real and imagined dangers.

Today's hike brings us just outside of Mount Rainier National Park to the Greenwater River in Washington state. This is just one of the many beautiful destinations in the Pacific Northwest.
We will stop by the river, filter some fresh glacier runoff and make a great cup of coffee, then get down to business discussing the real and shocking truth about violent animal attack in the USA.

Thanks for stopping by Northwest Walking. I'm a one man operation but having fun learning along the way. If you have something you'd like me to try out or an outdoor adventure you'd like to see, let me know in the comments and I'll do my best.
The support is greatly appreciated. Let's get outside and go for a walk!
