Established in 2020,  FasterCures, a Center of the Milken Institute's  LeadersLink Program is a capacity-building program to support the personal development of an emerging cadre of leaders of nonprofit organizations that fund or conduct biomedical research. LeadersLink focuses on building participants’ leadership skills and professional network and addressing their top priorities through mentorship, a capstone project, a series of convenings, virtual collaboration, and access to Milken Institute events and networks.

"What was really attractive about LeadersLink was gaining a community of people to learn from and share with, and I was looking for mentorship to grow as a leader. All of these things were aimed at increasing impact at Emily’s Entourage, and I am really happy that my experience with LeadersLink provided incredible value on these fronts and more."

Emily Kramer-Golinkoff, MBE, is the Co-Founder of Emily’s Entourage, leading worldwide efforts to drive high-impact research and drug development to accelerate innovative, new treatments for nonsense mutations of Cystic Fibrosis. As part of her capstone, Kramer-Golinkoff developed two objectives:
1. evaluate her organization’s intellectual property, monetization, and returns policy on academic grants; and
2. internally evaluate investment opportunities.

With these objectives in mind, Kramer-Golinkoff developed a revenue-sharing policy for academic grants and hired a Chief Scientific Officer to oversee all research and development efforts, including financing for grant programs and strategic investments for priority therapeutic areas.
