1) The Island of the Dolls, Mexico
Located in the canals of Xochimilco and covered in hundreds of dolls and doll parts hanging from trees and scattered among the grass, the story goes that Julian Santa Barrera placed the dolls there as protection against evil spirits after finding the body of a dead girl in a nearby canal. Visitors can tour the island by trajinera or kayak.

2) The Stanley Hotel, Colorado

3) St. George's Church, Czech Republic
Built in 1352 and destroyed by fires several times over the centuries, the congregation became convinced that the church was haunted after its roof partially collapsed during a funeral in 1968. Today, it is a popular tourist spot known as the "Ghost Church," featuring a collection of 30 ghost sculptures in its pews.

4) Chuuk Lagoon, Micronesia
This is a sunken haunted cemetery 50 feet underwater, where the Japanese Navy used to be based during World War II. The Ghost Fleet of Chuuk Lagoon, consisting of dozens of sunken warships, planes, tanks, and railcars, is still visible today. Divers can explore this eerie location and encounter the ghosts of the aquatic warships.

This ghost town, located about 40 miles southeast of Dubai, was built in 1970 and abandoned due to the djinn, shape-shifting spirits that scare people and drive away its inhabitants, according to local legend.

7) Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia
Built in 1829 and known for its extreme confinement of prisoners, visitors claim to hear laughter and footsteps and see shadows while exploring this museum and Halloween party venue. Even after the prison abandoned its isolation system in 1913, the punishment was still severe, with prisoners' tongues being chained to their wrists.

This popular tourist destination has paranormal activity, with visitors claiming to have seen the ghost of a lighthouse keeper who fell and died while painting the tower, as well as hearing the spirits of three children who drowned in the ocean playing in the lighthouse and its surroundings.

9) Gunnuhver, Iceland
400 years ago, a suspected witch named Gudrun "Gunna" lived in a small village in Iceland. Her landlord took away her cauldron when she failed to pay rent, causing Gunna to starve herself to death. During her funeral, her coffin was oddly light and her specter was reported haunting the village. The villagers sought the help of a priest who managed to cast the ghost into the hot spring now known as Gunnuhver. Some believers claim her ghost still hangs around the edge of the pit.

10) Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah
