My name is Gerald Peplow. I am a FAA Part 107 certified UAV pilot. This video is from my series, “UAV Drone Visions.” This series documents my road to UAV Proficiency. I currently fly a registered DJI Mini 2 or Mini 3. This is my Mini 3, Cong Ming Niao (Smart Bird). Finally I have a Mavic 3 called Da Niao, Big Bird. Today Da Niao got to fly! This video is UAV Aerial Drone Visions: The Salton Sea at Salvation Mountain, California.

We were on a trip to skirt the Salton Sea and stopped by here to catch the images of Salvation Mountain. This site was created by Leonard Knight a Veteran who dedicated his life to God. This is from the Website

... Leonard rises at 5:00 a.m. and heads into town for a cup of coffee. He is soon back at the mountain working the adobe clay that he has had soaking in water from the day before. There is always painting to do (if he has paint.) Leonard works on whatever he feels like at the time -- but he is always working on something. In the summer months when the temperature is usually between105° and 120° (41°and 49°C), he is usually done with the hard stuff by 10 or 11 o'clock. During the heat of the day, Leonard likes to take a nap. As you might expect, he has very few visitors at this timeVisitors experiencing the mountain of year as opposed to the winter time when upwards of 100 people and more might journey to Salvation Mountain on any given day. During these times, much of his day is taken up with showing Dusk at the mountain visitors around and answering questions. The average high temperature during the winter months is in the 60's and 70's while the average low can be in the 30's. For this reason, Leonard usually goes to bed with the sun. It's just too cold to do anything else.
