So many games get lost in the shuffle, more so, it would seem, if they are considered to be ‘AA’ - an area of the industry that seemingly has all the freedom (to succeed or fail) but little in the way of campaign marketing power. Some of my favourite games reside in this ‘middling’ sort of category. So I would like to talk a little bit about the underrated titles I (and you) probably forgot all about and why you should shake the dust from your memories.
In today’s video I focus on Murdered Soul Suspect: a supernatural mystery developed by Airtight Games and published by Square Enix, in which you play the ghost of Detective Ronan O’ Connor as he tries the catch the infamous Bell Killer. You wander the scary streets of Salem (yes, THAT Salem) in this stealthy, linear-ish thriller-noir, piecing together your own murder.
*EDIT: I called Abigail (the ghost girl) Alison in the video... even though it said Abigail in the script. I am putting it down to a moment of temporary insanity.
