In 2019 my life changed. As a nurse I thought I knew everything there was about health. But when I was stricken with a paralyzing autoimmune disease and left to "wing it" by doctors who didn't know how to treat me, I fell further and further into my illness. Even to a wheelchair where I existed for more than 8 months.

But I got serious about my health and changed everything I knew. I blew off the doctors who spoke death over my life and turned to food to treat the chronic disease no one else could.

And I believe you can do it too. No matter what you or someone you love has, I believe diseases can less, heal and even go in to total remission when your body is nourished and cared for.

I'm Rachel Ballard, a reformed southern cook who still loves the taste of good food and today I'm committed to helping you celebrate food as it is--not what we force it to be when we're on a diet so that you can live better, love more and do what brings you joy.
