Buck Showalter would be ejected for the first time in his tenure as the manager of the New York Mets. During the bottom of the 5th inning in a game against the Reds, in Cincinnati, Myers would slap the glove of Francisco Lindor to avoid the tag. The umpire crew would not make an interference call and Showalter would emerge from the dugout, making his frustration known. His biggest point was all four umps missed the call.
