Knowing what YOU (the client) want out of working with a Financial Advisor is the first question you should ask...to yourself. Once you have a better idea of what you want/need, then you can begin to ask yourself HOW does your Financial Advisor get paid? However, knowing their compensation is good - no doubt - but there are some valuable benefits to your financial advisor being able to communicate with you & their client base over social media. There are many compliance hurdles to this that I am not equipped to answer, but in my opinion, many people do not need a Financial Advisor & more importantly what they need is to change their financial behaviors and that starts with knowing that and surrounding yourself with others that will hold you accountable to accomplish your financial goals...and that accountability can be found on social media.
