Kyle Larson has earned the respect of the NASCAR Cup Series garage for his on-track performance, including winning the 2021 championship. His words carry weight.

This week while at Phoenix during testing, the Hendrick Motorsports driver offered an interesting choice of words when he met with the media and was asked about the mufflers being used on the short-track package. The 31-year-old surprisingly admitted how he thinks the race cars are too loud — even with the muffler — and the levels should be further reduced to improve the fan experience.

Unsurprisingly, the fans responded.
