Tony Stewart made headlines this week for his harsh remarks during an interview on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio about the performance of Stewart-Haas Racing over the last couple of seasons. The NASCAR Hall of Famer didn't hold back, criticizing the organization's recent run on the track, insisting that he must see improvement in 2024, or there will be changes, including to personnel. He also mentioned how they were going to miss the leadership of Kevin Harvick and Aric Almirola but are excited about the energy at the shop with the young drivers eager to prove themselves.
Interestingly, according to an interview on the same channel just days before with the longest-tenured driver at SHR, Chase Briscoe, there's a reason for the renewed excitement at the shop because the newly assembled group of drivers are on the same page and working together as a team. Something he surprisingly admitted didn't really exist in the past with the two veteran drivers.
