Destiny 2 Season of the Risen - Solo Grandmaster Nightfall Completion / Grandmaster The Lightblade Solo 1600 Max Difficulty Platinum Rank / Grandmaster Destiny Nightfall Solo The Lightblade / The Lightblade Grandmaster Solo / Solo Gilded Conqueror 4 Complete in The Witch Queen. Just a video of a solo completion of the final Grandmaster Nightfall The Ordeal this week in The Lightblade. Details below.

And finally The Lightblade is complete, rounding out all 6 Solo Grandmasters in the last 2 days for the gilded Conqueror title. I skipped whatever Champions I could in here to speed it up a bit, as the main hurdle is the boss fight anyway. The final boss is probably the hardest out of all the GMs in the game so far. The boss attacks can randomly decide to one-hit you. Shield throws can bounce and track you everywhere. Enemies teleport constantly in the arena (boss included). And multiple AoE attacks that follow you through invis. So my approach was to ignore all of that for the most part, and use invis while Witherhoarding the boss down slowly. There's probably safer approaches that could be used, maybe dealing with the Champions along the way, but this seemed to work nicely (and was a little more chaotic too).

It took me somewhere around 20 attempts on this over the last few days. I took a lot of breaks because I was tired of things glitching out (both in this and other nightfalls), so I just did a few attempts here and there until I got it done. About 12 or so wipes in the first area, mostly just being careless or getting hit by the best grenade thrower in the world. Twice during the swamp part (once was on Warlock, second was poor invis timing on Hunter). Once during the final area before the boss (Ogre beamed me mid-super). Plus 6 wipes on the boss. 2 of those attempts were a result of the boss glitching out and teleporting into instant death. 2 were super shield throws from the Lucent Hive bouncing like mad to get me. 2 were just the boss and Knights AoE.

Lastly, I had this on the Birthplace of the Vile video, but I'll put it here too for my opinion on GMs currently (I get asked this a lot lately). This season of Grandmasters feels like the most unenjoyable so far. It's not that they're particularly difficult (outside of the madness of The Lightblade boss room), it's just the champion mods and amount of bugs I've run into makes it really unappealing to do them. Void 3.0 is great and all the abilities that come with it. But then in contrast, when you're stuck with SMG/Auto Overloads or situations you no longer have abilities ready to use, you feel weaker than ever. Perhaps it's due to having a lot of strong seasonal mods before, but right now anytime I don't have an ability to use, or I have to deal with a Champion, it feels way more tedious than ever before. Even with this invis build it just feels more annoying to setup than before, and the upside to the previous build was that you would get grenade energy back from smoke. Now you just have invis from it (which is good), but outside of that the passive benefits feel a bit crap in a situation like this.

Either way, happy enough to still get all 6 of these done in a short time considering I've pretty much been only playing Elden Ring lately... and plan to return to :)
