It would be nice to expand the travel horizons to beyond the typical destinations of Las Vegas, New York and all the other great North American cities. I booked a trip to Singapore about a year ago and with work being so busy, I had little to no planning. Let's embark on this little adventure to Asia together. First stop, Malaysia hoping to find great meals, maybe a buffet or two... (local or Vegas style) and more importantly connect with old friends and perhaps meeting and build new friendships.

The little amount of planning was evident as I mistakenly booked a hotel in Malaysia while traveling to Singapore; however that proved to be a fortuitous event as not only does the dollar stretches much further in Malaysia, but the food is incredible. And as luck would have it, a few of the locals suggested an amazing buffet. One of the largest if not the largest in the Johor Bahru area and it certainly did not disappoint. Living up to the Vegas standards and then some, it was an experience like none other. Massive River Prawns friend and cooked to perfection, the whole roasted lamb slowly cooked over charcoal, and the satay gently grilled to achieve a smokey caramel exterior around the succulent tender meat.
