Fried chicken cake is something I’ve seen floating around Pinterest and the internet for a long time, but wanted to show you my take on this savory dessert!

The great thing about this cake, is that if you’re not cooking/baking savvy you can buy most of the components you need at your favorite fried chicken restaurant.

The only thing you must bake is the cornbread, which you can make from the box if you don’t want to make this from scratch.

(I personally like the cornbread mix from Trader Joe’s)

Cornbread Recipe from:
   • Sweet Skillet Cornbread

2 Cups Cornmeal
2 Cups Flour
2 Tbsps. Baking Powder
1 1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 Cup Sugar
(*I recommend lowering to 1 Cup or even 3/4 Cup)
2 Cups Milk
(*I used almond because it’s what I had)
2/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 Eggs

You can either buy or make mashed potatoes, mine were seasoned with butter, garlic, salt and almond milk.

To make honey butter, you need 1 pound of butter at room temp and about 2 Tbsp. of honey.

Buy your favorite fried chicken (or you can do this from scratch too if wanted!) *I also bought my gravy from the restaurant instead of making this from scratch

To garnish, you’ll need chives and some garlic!
