Join me as I travel from Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo to the countries second largest city, Kandy.

I start the morning with a delicious local breakfast snack, vegetable roti and a nice milky tea before catching a 3 hour train through the jungle. The journey is chaos and I’m stood up the whole way, packed in like sardines!

When I arrive at Kandy, I attempt to make my way towards the homestay but the chaos continues as I try and fail to find the correct bus.

I eventually catch the bus and arrive at the homestay before heading back out to Kandy and going for a nice rice and curry.

I finish the afternoon strolling around a beautiful lake alive with wildlife such as huge lizards and huge bats.
