📍COLOMBO, SRI LANKA - After arriving the day prior in the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo I decided to visit the biggest and largest market in the city, Pettah Market. I ordered an Uber Tuk Tuk which is very reasonable in terms of prices compared to western standards. The driver was nice and pointing out different landmarks along the way to the famous Pettah Market.

When I arrived I was greeted by our famous friend today who says her daughter has married an American man named Dan! Wow what a surprise because everyone tells me something along these lines.

Colombo has a population of about 750,000 people so it would be fair to say not everyone will be as friendly as you think they will be! I trusted this man to take me to the correct market but he was just deceiving me for some fresh coconut money! 100 rupees.

Sri Lanka is a beautiful country and I have been welcomed with open arms so far while traveling around! As you are aware there are scams in every country so be careful of the smaller ones as well...My time is important and so should yours! The price wasn't the issue, it was the value of the time wasted that was.

Regardless we will have a great time together adventuring around the PEARL of the INDIAN OCEAN, SRI LANKA! 🇱🇰
