President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania with an official ceremony.
Hassan's official vehicle was met by cavalry on the street in front of the Presidential Complex and escorted to the protocol gate.
President Erdoğan welcomed Hassan at the main entrance gate of the complex. After Erdoğan and Hassan took their places in the ceremony area, the national anthems of the two countries were played.
Tanzanian President Hassan greeted the Guard Regiment Ceremony Corps by saying "Hello soldier". Flags and soldiers representing the 16 Turkish states established in history also took part in the ceremony.
Erdoğan and Hassan shook hands on the stairs in front of the flags of Turkey and Tanzania and posed for journalists.
Erdoğan and Hassan, who held a head-to-head meeting, will chair the delegation meeting and organize a joint press conference.
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Minister of National Education Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Presidential Chief of Administrative Affairs Metin Kıratlı, Head of National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, President of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün, Presidential Advisor on Security and Foreign Policy Akif Çağatay Kılıç and Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin also took part in the ceremony.
