This is the "tough love" episode. There is no magic formula or "pro tip" that can save a speaker who has not practiced sufficiently to avoid reliance on his or her slides.

If a speaker can't present without slides...then the speaker isn't ready to present. A presentation is an oral performance--it has nothing to do with written material.
