This video will teach you how to do a LIVE video (like a Zoom call) while reading from a script--and no one will know you're reading from a script. You can do it!

The techniques here are helpful if you need to read from notes or a script while delivering a video presentation over Zoom, Teams, and similar videoconferencing platforms.

As many important presenters over the years have discovered, LIVE video is unforgiving! There is no edit process. What you say is what the audience gets, and there are no do-overs!

But there's no reason to worry! If you've learned to rehearse your script as described in my last two videos, you'll be fine when you read your script from behind your camera. You'll have all the words you need, and because of the positioning of the material you're reading, no one on the video call will know you're reading. Your eyes will appear to stay locked on the camera, making perfect eye-contact with your audience.

Next week, we'll start discussing advanced techniques for creating a "poor man's" teleprompter!
