BMW's iX electric flagship has had its fair share of criticism since its launch; mostly surrounding its looks. And although we have subjected the car to a full AutoEV road test before, that was the more powerful, bigger battery xDrive 50. However, it is the smaller battery, lower-powered xDrive 40 that BMW say will be the big seller in the range, competing with the likes of Audi's e-tron, the Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace. But at that lower price, are there more compromises to be made? In order to find out, Bryan has been spending more time with the car and puts it through the road test that actual car buyers trust to deliver the definitive verdict - the AutoEV one.
