Getting the very most out of you 4WD is a must, and what better way to do it then increase the Performance. Here is how we achieve this safely and reliably.

Here at Ultimate 4WD we pride ourselves on supplying only the very best of products, and a couple of these are featured on this Prado 150's build.
Starting off the build we have the Safari Snorkel, this snorkel serves 3 major points that you need to cover with setting up your 4WD. The Safari Snorkel is the best snorkels on the market, both for looks and for build quality, which when fitted by a professional (like Dave featured in the Video) they hug the vehicle creating a tight smooth fit to the vehicle's body panels and airbox. This fit ensures that you get the absolute best airflow into your engine, this cold forced air then travels through your airbox and into your engine. This clean air helps your vehicle's engine to work less, this means that you will have increased performance, as well as a better fuel economy. By pushing air through the engine you able to have the fuel burn better and cleaner, which also means that you don't use as much fuel.

Now that you have clean air being pumped into your engine, you'll need to ensure that it is filtered correctly without restricting your new increased airflow. This is easily done with the use of a KN Air Filter, this filter use an industry leading patented technology to ensure that you have more protection than the factory filter, all while increasing your airflow.

After the air has been forced into the engine, it can often sit there a little longer and turn stale. This engine will often bring your performance / fuel economy down, and this is why we have paired the Safari Snorkel with the Taipan XP Exhaust system. Designed and made right here in Australian, the Taipan XP Exhaust stystem is one of the industry leaders in producing a great power increase, without producing an anoying groan or overly loud sound. While the exhaust does change the sound of the vehicle by giving it a deeper sound, you'll find that inside the cabin it is almost wisper quiet. The sound isn't the only thing that changes in the vehicle, The TaipanXP Exhaust also increases the airflow of the vehicle, to ensure that all of the stale air has been removed from the engine which also assists the snorkel to produce even better performance.

While this is the point that most people stop at, we've taken things one step further with this Toyota Prado! We have also installed the Steinbauer Performance Moduel. This module is definitely not like any other "chip" on the market, this is because it talks to the engines onboard computer. By talking straight to the computer, the moduel is able to change the engines output to suit the enviroment or conditions its in, this allows you to increase your performance when towing, but decrease it when its not needed.
