Now this is slow but so is every other naturally aspirated 4 cylinder pickup. The n/a 2.3L is a proven engine and can make it to 200k and beyond with minimal fuss. The 5 speed automatic is a good pairing besides the tall 1st gear. Driven normally, they typically skip 2nd gear, foot to the floor or at 3/4 throttle, you’ll get 2nd like you see in this video. It’s pretty short and only there to keep the revs up if you need all the power.
