Today's video is a break from my usual content as I bring you a children's story, in the form of a rhyming narrative poem, which I wrote about 10 years ago. It tells of Tick, a red tock who finds himself separated from his parents before meeting Jake, a boy who is also dealing with feeling lonely.

I saw the book as a first step in a series of stories about the different kinds of Tocks, who are briefly introduced in the story, facing challenges which children might face in their lives and overcoming them.

I'd love to hear from you, either as a parent who might enjoy sharing the story with a child between around 5 and 10 years old, or as a publisher who can tell me if the story is either simply a bit of fun, as I originally intended, or has potential to reach a wider audience in print.
