The 2022 Kia Sorento and the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe share the exact same powertrain, the base being a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with the option of either front- or all-wheel-drive.

The higher trim levels come fitted with the turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with 281 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. This engine also has an 8-speed automatic, but now with a dual-clutch and also available with either front- or all-wheel-drive.

The Kia Sorento costs a couple thousand dollars more than the Hyundai Santa Fe but it makes sense considering you get more interior space in the Kia.

They range from around $29,000 for the base models all the way up to $43,000 for the four wheel drive top of the line trims.
