Up until just a few weeks ago I discovered that I my Mesa Boogie JP2C does in fact have a line level output on the amp that is not affected by speaker cabinet simulation. I was racking my brain to figure out how to use different speaker cabinet impulse responses with the amp. Luckily my good buddy Steve let me borrow his Weber Mass 200 attenuator. I very much like recording this way, because I can crank my amp up to 11 and let that power section roar. I thought this would make for a good experiement to see if I liked the Mesa Boogie Cab Clone DI, the Slave output into the interface or the Weber Mass 200 into the interface, going into some great sounding IRs.
