It might be difficult to believe, but American rock band KISS is now in its 50th year. And to help celebrate the milestone the group invited Sarah Abo to Paris for a taste of their jet-set lifestyle and to show her how they’ve survived and thrived in a notoriously fickle industry. Founding band members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, who are now in their 70s, prove age is no barrier to successful showbiz careers, as they apply their over-the-top makeup and don their comic-book costumes to belt out their myriad hits. And for KISS fans there’s more good news – not only is their music as loud as ever, they’re planning another visit to Australia.
