I’m a busy man, but I've carved out the entire weekend to do nothing but sit on THIS park bench, without my phone, food, caffeine, nicotine or mary-jane, in order to find some kind of enlightenment.

One of my heroes  Eckhart Tolle saved his own life by sitting on a bench much for months straight. At the end of it, he found an inner peace that most of us will never know. He was even invited on Oprah, where I assume he achieved enlightenment.

According to a few millennia of spiritual traditions, we all have access to greatest heights of joy and transcendence, right in our own backyards...or neighborhood parks. While I was pretending to be Forrest Gump, I met several people who had made the park a daily practice, crediting it with turning their lives around.

Kevin the Squirrel Wrangler even found love again with the local wildlife. I love little hilarious stories like this. Life feels like an episode of Parks and Rec to me. So take a break from the rat race and take a big SIP OF LIFE in your local park.

This channel is dedicated to accessible techniques for accessing happiness in your day to day life. The park has to be my favorite strategy for increasing joy, and it may seem redundant how much I advocate for simply BEING in a park on this channel, but I see people get in the way of their own greatness just because they think they don't have time, space, love, and the good will to get there. The park taught me different. It taught me that nature doesn't spend so much time analyzing, and it manages to form a perfectly coherent beauty. It reminded me what it felt like to be a child, watching the clouds go by. FOREVER MOMENTS.
