So. What is a Lizard Queen, i hear you ask. It's a funny story. Oh, sorry, it's a really cool Octave/Distortion pedal that sounds like a fuzz from the 1970's, with a really interesting Octave Up knob that lets to blend the "octave" (the quotes are to highlight my suspicions of what exactly constitutes for "octave" here) rather than just activate it with a traditional ON/OFF footswitch.
Anyways, I digress! Back to the story of how the Lizard Queen came about:
Designed by pedal enthusiast and historian Josh Scott of JHS Pedals, and graphic designer, Daniel Danger as a homage to Electro-Harmonix in what Josh and Daniel consider the company’s design heyday of the 1970's, they jokingly remarked when discussing that it'd be a dream come true to see EHX build it one day. Less than a year later, Mike Matthews, the founder of Electro-Harmonix, has answered their prayers, and built Josh and Daniel’s vintage-inspired, reptile-themed pedal, and put it into production as a JHS collaboration! The Lizard Queen is now a full-fledged Electro-Harmonix creation, available for you to own. Like a pedal discovered from the 1970's, that never existed in the first place!
It's one big Bill and Ted "WOAH" moment.
