On the scene, today in the social dance community, "walking" appears to be a lost art. The reality is that "you can't have one without the other." Walking is actually an equal part of the social dance culture. The misconception stems from the lack of knowledge of the culture of the social dance scene. One of the oldest dances in the world is the Waltz. Walking is an African American form of the Waltz.
