Bodycam footage shows North Carolina cops arresting Devon Whitmire May 17 on a warrant for communicating violent threats to his family. The Asheville Police Department charged Whitmire with multiple counts of assault as a result of the incident shown on the bodycam. Local residents expressed outrage over the arrest after a bystander’s video showing a short clip of Whitmire being detained circulated on social media.
