We hit the target twice despite battling a heavy variable crosswind.

The target is about 16'x16' and is 250 yards downrange. It is really too small of a target to reliably hit. A difference in 2-3 mph of the crosswind can cause the projectile to miss entirely to the left or right even if everything else is the same about the shot.

The machine is performing very well and made several hits within a 5-yard radius. I think targeting with a larger trebuchet against a real castle would generally be easier. The projectiles would be less affected by the wind, and small variations in the setup of the machine would make less difference in the shots. And a real wall would be a much larger target.

This machine can put a 20lb stone through a 6" timber with energy left to spare. If we had more timber we could build a larger and thicker wall.
