The Colorado Avalanche started and ended their matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets the way you would want the Avs to play against any team, let alone the Blue Jackets. It was the in-between where Columbus cashed in, which was enough to put the Avalanche away, 4-1.

Bottom line is the Avs can't lose to a team like Columbus at this stage in the season. But did they play well? The stats say they did. But the stats don't matter much when you don't have two in the standings.
