In Kingdom Rush, the Barracks tower is essential for blocking enemies and giving your other towers more time to kill all the fast & strong enemies that appear. The main weakness of Barracks is that they greatly lack damage in most cases and usually won't be able to defeat enemies by themselves. The keyword being "usually"...
