My personal opinion is that Ben Hogan might have been the best tournament golfer in history - and this is because the guy was almost crippled by a car accident. Some thought he might never walk properly again and then went on to win multiple majors, which is totally mind blowing.

Thereafter he wrote his Modern Fundamentals book, which should have been about how he makes his swing. But instead, he crafted rules that he believed every golfer should follow based on his swinging style, which most PGA Tour golfers broke/break, with Jack Nicklaus being the most notable example.
