Thank you all for your overwhelming support on my inaugural YouTube leap into theoretical physics. While I am still working on the next chapter, I did a faster video (still took longer than I thought) to do some follow-up corrections, clarifications, and supporting evidence.

Your feedback means a lot to me, but if I keep addressing everything I will never get to the next chapter. I hope this offers enough in the way of clarifications address the majority of questions. As I didn't intend for my first video to "go viral" - I also felt I should take the time to clean up some of my mess.

Finally, I realized long after filming I say "so" waaay too much. So... I will work on that next time.

Just put your time down, flip it and reverse it

Having trouble? This guy did a great job showing curvature as time dilation, but I honestly have no idea who he is:

He isn't taking the "extra dimension" leap I am, but it's a similar thought process.

Overview of Modified Newtonian Dynamics

This is probably one of the best in-depth explanations of MOND you will find.

The ScienceDirect article is a little "thick" so if you just want to validate my point on the inverse-square law, this cuts right to the point:
"This is in large part due to MOND holding that exceedingly weak galactic-scale gravity holding galaxies together near their perimeters declines as a very slow linear relationship to distance from the center of a galaxy rather than declining as the inverse square of distance."

If you still aren't convinced, here is a whole paper on the subject. The author has plenty of the traditional academic credentials to make you feel warm and fuzzy.

The Alternative to Dark Matter May be General Relativity Itself

This article is NOT about MOND, but it is exploring a similar or parallel solution that suggests taking better account of the effect of overlapping gravitational fields.

Finally, as there appears to be some controversy over my beard, here is a TOTALLY scientific article on why I should keep mine:
