2016 started out being the year of Snapchat, but at the end of the year we see that Instagram really surprised everyone and we're getting more and more updates from Instagram that are very good.

All the platforms started adding live streaming (except Snapchat), and this poses some problems for the future because essentially all the platforms will be offering the same things.
