To pour water into a toilet to check for blockage or clearance, follow these steps:
Fill a bucket with hot water. Do not use boiling water, as this can damage the toilet porcelain.
Pour the hot water into the toilet bowl. Be careful not to overfill the toilet bowl.
Wait a few minutes.
If the water drains completely, the blockage is cleared.
Flush the toilet a few times to test it.
If the water does not drain completely, the blockage may still be present. You may need to try a different method to clear the blockage, such as using a plunger or a toilet auger.
