In this video I take a quick look back at the last 2 years with this cabin build. My next project is to tackle is building the side deck for easier access into the cabin, but before that I want to jack up the one back corner that has settled a little bit.

I know that the jacking and deck build will only take me a day, but I don't have any materials there - this is a process and will take me an entire day. This process is testing my patience more than ever. 🤪. I've been struggling with a problem with an ankle (no proper diagnosis yet, need one more test), and being a lumber mule on that steep mountain has been really aggravating it. So I've been compensating for it, and in turn this has caused a whole other plethora of pain in my lil' body, which has forced me to actually rest (cuz I can barely do anything else!). Anyway, want some cheeze with that whine? Hot tub soaks and stretching it is. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I choose to not make any significant plans for things because I know I often change my mind, which was the case here with this deck. I'm happy with how it turned out in the end though, making use of the lumber I had on hand. I would like to go back and work on my footings a bit (find better rocks and just tidy it up a bit), but that will have to be another day as I ran out of time. I will also add another tier of deck at the back that goes up to the shed.
