Known for his creative play, Baadur Jobava is a chess player loved by spectators. However, he is not always able to play creatively against the absolute best players as they are able to foil his plans often. At the World Rapid 2021, however, Baadur managed to show that he can make his creative play work against the best in the business. He ended day one with 4.5/5.
