In her talk, Tamilla defines the significance of the compound effect in financial decision-making. Compound interest makes money grow faster because interest is calculated on the accumulated interest over time as well as on the original principal. She also describes three key ingredients: time, money, and consistent return. Tamilla Kurbanova is the founder and CEO of fIntellect, an Investment Education company in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and also the co-founder and CEO of Twelve Stars Capital, an Investments firm in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She is a graduate of Drexel University, Lebow College of Business, and the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School. With 10 years of experience, she worked at Morgan Stanley in the Institutional Equity Division in New York and EMEA Equity Research Sales as an analyst. Additionally, she served as a director at UBS Investment Bank. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
