How to match into cardiology fellowship. Becoming a cardiologist in the United States is simple: 4 years of medical school, 3 year internal medicine residency, and 3 year cardiovascular disease fellowship! Easy right? Well the path seems laid out in stone but it’s not as simple as you think. It is even more difficult if you are a Caribbean medical student. In this video I explain how internal medicine residents can optimize their application for a cardiology fellowship. I go into detail about what medical students should be looking for in a residency program if they think that they are interested in pursuing a specialty like cardiology!
